Orange/Orlando: Nike Stores, Armed Robbery |
Date: October 28 & November 17, 2008 |
On October 28, 2008, at approximately 6:30 a.m., two suspects entered the Nike Factory Outlet Store located at 4977 International Drive, armed with firearms. The suspect held several employees at gunpoint and demanded money.
On 11/17/08 at approximately 5:48 a.m. an unknown black male approached the Nike Outlet, located at 8200 Vineland Road, identifying himself as an employee. The suspect was wearing a black sweater with an orange Nike Staff shirt. Upon entring the business he placed a black handgun to the manager's face and then the second suspect, also a black male, entered the business armed with a silver handgun. The suspects forced the manager to take them to the office where the safe was located. They removed from the safe an undiclosed amount of money. The suspects were described as thin built, approximatley 5'10 - 5'11, dark complextion, 160 - 180 pounds wearing black pants. Witness say the suspects spoke with a Hatian accent. One of the suspects was wearing a black skull cap with a bill front possibly had dreads under the hat. Suspect 2 had dreads underneath the hat. |

Orange: Cash America Pawn Robberies |
Date: August, September 2008 & March 24, 2009 |
On 8/23/08 at 10:50AM, the Cash America Pawn at Silver Star/Pine Hills Rd was robbed at gunpoint by two Black Males. On 9/18/08 at 11:37AM, the Cash America Pawn at Colonial/Pine Hills Rd was robbed at gunpoint by one black male. In both robberies, the suspects demanded cash and jewelry, and fled the scene in stolen cars. A witness in the first robbery observed one of the suspects without his mask and provided the below sketch. A significant amount of jewelry was stolen.(UPDATE) Same location robbed again on March 24, 2009. If you know of anyone recently trying to sell jewelry or having lots of new jewelry with no explanation, the reward for these crimes has been INCREASED to $10,000.
Both Suspects: Black Males, 5’09-6’00, 160-180.

Palm Bay : Investigators Seek Arsonist |

Local and state investigators are seeking information on recent fires in Palm Bay. Investigators are interested in the area of Beach and Madden (see map), because the fire started late on Sunday, five hours after the other fires, and they think it could be an individual "start" apart from the other fires. An eyewitness saw a man driving a dark-colored Honda or Hyundai sedan. They said he is a white man with a thin build, dark brown hair and "big sunglasses." |

Orange: Pizza Hut Robbery |

On March 1, 2008 just before midnight the Pizza Hut located at 4343 Edgewater Drive was robbed by three black males all armed with handguns. The males entered the store and forced two of the three employees to the ground. The males then forced the third employee to open the cash register. Before departing the store, one of the suspects fired a round which struck two of the employees, one of which was seriously injured. The males departed the scene by unknown means. |

On 12/15/2007 at approximately 1700 hours, three dark skinned Hispanic Males entered the Friendly Pawn shop at 8519 E Colonial Drive and held the employees and customers at gunpoint. The suspects took property from the customers and jewelry after smashing the display cases inside the store. |

Orange: McCoy Masked ATM Robbery |

On October 3, 2007 at approximately 12:11 am two unknown males robbed the victim while he was withdrawing money from McCoy Federal Credit Union’s ATM located at 2075 Central Florida Parkway. The suspects approched on foot coming from the west side of the business pointing their firearms at the victim. While doing so, the suspects demanded the victim withdraw $500.00 from the ATM. The suspects then left the area and ran westbound entering the Hawthorne Village Apartment complex where the victim lost sight of them.
One of the suspects was carrying a shotgun and the other suspect was carrying a large revolver. The suspect were described by the victim as a black male and a white male.

On Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers responded to the K&M Discount Food and Beverage Store, located at 215 Fifth Avenue, in reference to a report of a robbery that just occurred. The store clerk was interviewed and stated that a subject came into the store and demanded money from the cash register. No firearm was seen or mentioned; however, the subject reached into his jacket in a manner that suggested that he might have been armed and the clerk was in fear that the subject had a weapon. The subject fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The subject was described as follows:
White male, approximately 6’00” to 6’02” tall, approximately 180 pounds with a medium complexion. The subject had brown hair and dark eyes. The subject was wearing a white hat, a brown leather jacket, white pants with blue stripes and dark sandals. |

On October 29, 2007 at approximately 9:45 a.m. an armed robbery occurred at the Community Educators Credit Union located at 7380 Murrell Road, Suite 102, in Viera. An unknown black male entered the credit union and demanded money. The black male indicated he was armed with a handgun however no weapon was displayed. The suspect demanded the tellers place money from the cash drawers into a navy blue or black zippered gym bag. The suspect exited the credit union on foot and fled in an unknown direction of travel. No one was injured in the robbery. The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5’8” tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He is described as having a large muscular appearance. The suspect’s face was covered with a black nylon type mask pulled over his face. A mustache and goatee was visible under the mask. He was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve sweatshirt and sweatpants. He appeared to be wearing black athletic shoes. His hands were covered with white latex gloves. |

On 10/28/2007 at 3:40 am, an unknown white/male suspect committed an occupied burglary to a dwelling in the area of Semoran and Banchory. The suspect entered the victim’s residence while the family was sleeping. He gagged an eight year old female, who was inside the residence, and then fled through a window. The suspect was described by the eight year old witness as a white male, early 40’s, tall, heavy build, wearing a black “biker” type head wrap. |

On September 27, 2007 in the afternoon hours and unknown black male robbed the First National Bank located at 500 East Michigan Street. The male demanded money while making threats to banks employees. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was described as a black male, 30-35 yoa, 5’06”- 5’08”, 190-200 lbs. black hair, light goatee & mustache. He was wearing a dark gray or black shirt and blue pants and black baseball hat. Orange: Hit & Run Linked to Street Racing |

A fatal hit-and-run crash closed a busy roadway over the weekend. It happened along state Road 50 between Good Homes Road and Hiawassee Road early Sunday morning. Authorities with the Florida Highway Patrol said the crash is an apparent case of street racing. Three people died in the crash. Officials said a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse and a red Oldsmobile were traveling westbound on S.R. 50 near Good Homes Road in Ocoee. FHP investigators said Eleazar Rodriguez Jr. was traveling more than 100 m.p.h. when he was cut off by the Eclipse. Investigators said the Eclipse apparently hit the Oldsmobile and sent it into oncoming traffic, where it clipped a truck. Police said Eleazar Rodriguez, 17, was driving the 2002 red Oldsmobile and was killed. Jose Gallegos, 18, and one other passenger in the car were also killed. One passenger survived, but was critically injured. Police are looking for the driver of the other car involved in the crash, who fled the scene. The car is described as a silver, 1998-2002, Mitsubishi Eclipse, with several racing-type stickers on the drivers side door. One of the stackers may have the letters IGN, or IGNE |

At approximately 2:37pm on July 12, 2007, the Bank of America at 11800 Research Parkway was robbed. According to witnesses a black male walked up to a teller, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. After taking the money from the teller the suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a black male, 30- 40 years old, 6’ to 6’ 2” tall, 192 pounds, with long black dreadlocks. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a white shirt, a white ball cap, and blue jeans. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun and should be considered armed and dangerous. |

Lake: Publix Robbery |

At approximately 2:30 p.m., LCSO responded to the parking lot of Publix, located at 13900 C.R. 455 in Clermont, regarding an 82-year-old female being the victim of a robbery (purse snatching). The victim reported that as she was loading her vehicle with groceries, she was approached from behind and shoved into her car by an unknown white male. The suspect then grabbed her purse and left the area in a newer model PT Cruiser, silver in color. The vehicle was described as having a slightly bent license plate and possibly bearing a handicap sticker.
In speaking with her and witnesses on scene, detectives have determined that there were actually two subjects involved and both left in the PT Cruiser. We have received descriptions that indicate that the driver of the vehicle was a white male, dark hair, approximately 6' 2", early or mid-20s, wearing a red shirt with light or tan pants. The other subject, who is the attacker, was described as a white male, early or mid-20s, with strawberry blonde, medium-length hair, wearing a tan shirt and jeans. A witness to the incident followed the suspect's vehicle and lost sight of it heading eastbound on Old Highway 50, towards Orange County. |

Winter Park: Elderly Victim, Sexual Battery |

Police on Wednesday released a composite sketch of a man who they said sexually assaulted an 86-year-old woman in her Winter Park apartment. According to Winter Park police, officers responded to a call concerning a sexual battery at about 1:12 p.m. at the Village Lane Apartments located near the intersection of Balfour Drive and Aloma Avenue. The man entered the victim's apartment through an unlocked door, sexually assaulted her and then fled on foot. The assailant was described as a Hispanic man in his mid to late 20s about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build, a dark complexion and he was clean-shaven. He was wearing dark-colored clothing and a black hat. |

The male entered the business through the front and pointed a small silver handgun at the victims. Suspect then pushed both victims to a backroom and then took some of their property to iclude the car keys of a 1999 Jaguar. The vehicle was recovered minutes later near the intersection of Oakridge Road and S OBT
The suspect was a black male, in hi twenties, 5’08”, 165 lbs. black hair afro style, no facial hair. He was wearing a blue short and unknown color pants. |

The robbery happened at about 4 p.m. and the Super 8 Motel, located at 4750 W. State Road 46 in Sanford. According to Seminole County sheriff's deputies, a man wearing a mask and carrying a knife entered the hotel and demanded money from an employee. |

On 06/19/07 at approximately 12:39 am the victim was robbed at gunpoint. The victim fought the suspect over the gun and a shot was fired. The suspect may have been injured during this incident. The pictured individual is a possible witness and needs to be identified. Updated 07/16/07: The suspect was injured during the struggle and may have a wound to his face. We received information that the suspect lives somewhere on Orange Center Blvd. It is possible that the suspect goes by the name or AKA of “Savage.” |

On 06/14/2007 at 11:00 pm, this agency responded to 5820 W. Hwy 192 in reference to a robbery. The victims advised a black or Hispanic male who stated, “Excuse me, if you scream I will kill you”, approached them, he then displayed a silver handgun, which he had tucked in the waistline of his pants. The subject then took two purses from the victims, placed them into a white bag, and fled from the scene. The victims saw the subject run towards W. Hwy 192.
The victim described the suspect as about 5’08” tall with a muscular build, a goatee and wide eyes. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a white button up shirt and a white baseball cap. |

On April 30, 2007 a black male wearing a white t-shirt covering his face entered the Circle K store located at 6201 N. Orange Blossom Trail at around 12:48 a.m. The suspect used a white shopping bag and ordered the cashier to put money from the register and cigarettes into it. He also grabbed some cigarette lighters on his way out. He was last seen on foot towards Edgewater Drive. |

On Sunday, 04/08/07 around 9:50 PM, two black male suspects entered the CVS Pharmacy located at 6217 Silver Star Road just before closing time. Once the last customer left and the manager locked the doors, both suspects put on masks and one produced a long gun from his pants. Both suspects robbed the business and fled in an unknown direction. The descriptions of the suspects is as follows:
(1) Black male, 18-20 years old, 5’08”, 150-160 pounds, wearing a black hooded winter jacket, gray shirt underneath, and blue jeans, armed with a gun. He was also wearing blue gloves.
(2) Black male, 18-20 years old, 5’05”, 140-150 pounds, wearing all black. |

St. Cloud : Panty Hose Bandit |

During the past week four armed robberies have been reported to the St. Cloud Police Department. Each time, a white male subject enters the store wearing all black clothing and has attempted to conceal his face behind a nylon mesh material (like panty-hose). The male subject, then, brandishes a kitchen knife about 6-8 inches long, approaches the counter and demands that the register clerk quickly hand over cash. The male subject flees on foot and it is believed that he gets into an unknown type vehicle, parked closely to the scene, in order to escape detection.

| Hispanic Male (light complexion) in his early 30’s , approximately 5’07” with a thin build. He had short dark hair and a scar on his forehead and eyebrow. (See Composite) He was carrying a bag and an umbrella. The suspect forced his way into the victim’s residence via the front door and implied he had a weapon. Once inside he demanded money and attempted to force the victim to drive him to an unknown location, the victim refused to give the suspect a ride but gave him an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the residence on foot. He may have been in the area for a short time after attempting to get a ride. |

| On 01/30/07 at 11:50 a.m., 5 masked black male suspects entered the RBC Centura bank located at 8020 Conroy Windermere Rd, armed with guns. They robbed the bank, and fled in a white, nice looking, four door, late 90s model, Nissan Altima or similar style vehicle. Witnesses also say this vehicle possibly had silver mirrored tint. A die pack exploded prior to their escape, and may have marked their clothes and/or vehicle. Four of the suspects were B/Ms, 18-25 years old, 5’07”-6’00”, 160-190 pounds. The last suspect was larger than the others at 5’08-6’02”, 200-250 pounds, with medium length dreads past his shoulders. |

| Orange: Jogger Attacked |

A woman on a jog was attacked and sexually battered over the weekend after being pulled behind a wall by a man. The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. on , Dean Road and River Park Boulevard. The 25-year-old victim was jogging when a man grabbed her, told her he had a gun and demanded her cell phone. She told him she didn't have a phone and asked to be released when he pulled her behind a brick wall, according to the police report.
The Suspect then knocked the woman to the ground, held her down and sexually assaulted her, according to deputies. The assailant is described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds. |
