On Friday, April 25, 2008, at approximately 9:40pm, the victim was found dead in the parking lot of Somerset Apartments. A minivan was seen leaving the area shortly after.

Kissimmee: Wachovia Bank Robbery |

The Kissimmee Police Department is looking for a suspect who robbed the Wachovia Bank located at 1473 East Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee at approximately 9:30 a.m. The suspect entered the bank and told the teller to put all of her money on the counter. The suspect placed the money in his pockets and left the bank. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-40’s, 5’7” – 5’8” tall, 150 – 170 pounds, last seen wearing a grey baseball hat, sunglasses, white short sleeves t-shirt with a olive colored horizontal stripes. The suspect is possibly traveling in a silver older model Cadillac Seville with a Florida tag of “JT22” or “HT22”.

Sumter: Villages Publix Oxy Robbery |

On April 21st, 2008 at 1:45pm a white male entered the Publix located at 3475 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, and demanded Oxycontin while presenting a small snub nose revolver, possibly a .38 cal. or 357 cal. After receiving a small amount of prescription drugs, the subject left the Publix through the southwest door, and continued west in the parking lot. It is unknown at this time if the suspect was picked up by someone, or if he had a vehicle in the parking lot. |

Palm Bay : New Suspect Composite |

Detectives are hoping a composite sketch of a possible suspect in
an unsolved homicide will generate new information that will help solve the
crime. The Victim, Kenneth Smith, 42, was shot to death on January 26th in
front of the home he was temporarily residing in located at 107 White Road.
A witness came forward early in the investigation and provided a description
of one of the suspects. At the time a computer-generated composite sketch
turned out to be of little resemblance to what the witness described.
Detectives then sought the assistance of a forensic artistist based out of
Orlando. Working with the witness again, a new sketch was generated that
more accurately depicts the potential suspect. At the time of the homicide, the witness states two black males
came to the home inquiring about a vehicle for sale. When the victim
stepped outside, he was shot and the suspects fled the scene. |

Orlando: Crownpointe Homicide |
Date: April 19, 2008 |
On 4/19/08 at approximately 9:30am, patrol officers responded to the
Crownpointe Business Plaza located at 7830 Kingspointe Parkway for a man
down. Upon their arrival the officers found the victim, Deryl Larvon Cato
Jr.B/M 1/29/84, unresponsive. Orange County Fire Rescue responded and
pronounced Cato deceased on the scene. Cato's death
appears to be a homicide. |

Osceola: Celebration Robbery Suspect Sought |
Date: April 15, 2008 |
On April 15 at
approximately 12:22 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff's deputies responded to
Longview Avenue in Celebration in reference to a strong armed robbery.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who indicated she pulled
into the parking lot and exited her vehicle. As she walked towards the
building, an unknown black male approached her and asked her, "You
seen Joe?" The suspect began hitting her in the face and took her
personal items before leaving the area in a tan or champagne colored
Chevrolet Suburban. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'10",
medium build wearing a black t-shirt and dark capri style pants. |

West Melbourne: Riverside Bank Robbery |

At approximately 10:40 a.m. a white male entered the Riverside Bank, 3125 West New Haven Avenue at the intersection of Minton Road and presented a note to the teller advising he was robbing the bank. The robber implied that he had a weapon but did not reveal it. He appears to be in his late 20s and was wearing a white baseball cap, black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. |

Osceola: Armed 7-Eleven Robbery |

Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help in identifying a 7-Eleven armed robbery suspect. On April 16 at approximately 3:42 a.m., deputies responded to 7-Eleven at 22975 N. Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the employee who indicated a Hispanic male entered the store and walked to the refrigerators to get milk. When the suspect went to the cashier, he implied a handgun was in his shirt pocket and demanded all of the money from the cash register. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Deputies responded, but were unable to locate the suspect. The store employee describes the suspect as a Hispanic male with a goatee, approximately 30-40 years old wearing a dark grey sweater and a beige cap.

At approx 4:30am Orlando Police Department responded to 3120 S. Kirkman Rd. Washington Mutual Bank reference to a bank alarm. Upon arrival units found that suspects used a front end loader from a nearby construction site to steal an entire ATM. Front end loader was determined to be stolen from Premier Paving.

OPD officers responded to a Home Invasion at 6608 Bayboro Ct. When officers arrived they found the resident shot inside.
Witnesses described the suspect as: white male, approximately 30 years old, 5'7", approximately 160 lbs.
Last seen wearing: Black Jacket, white t-shirt, dark sunglasses
Suspect was last seen running from the rear of the residence toward Chickasaw Trail.
It appears that the residence and victim were specifically targeted. Motive is unknown at this time.
Victim is identified as: Oscar Moradel, white hispanic male, date of birth 12/07/67

Kissimmee: Armed Cell Store Robbery |
Date: April 12, 2008 |
On 04/12/08, at approximately 0927 hours, three Hispanic male suspects entered the My Wireless store at 3400 W. Vine Street and robbed the business and gunpoint.
Two of the suspects walked into the store together while the third entered shortly after the first two. Suspect #1 purchased a phone card used to call Mexico, while Suspect #1 looked at a cell phone display. When the clerk was called over to the display, Suspect #1 pulled a dark colored handgun and pointed it at the clerk. Suspects#2 and #3 ran behind the counter and forced the clerk to the ground. The clerk was tied up and dragged to the register. The suspects observed a safe under the counter and forced the clerk to open the safe at gunpoint.
As the suspects were about to exit, a customer walked into the store. Suspects #2 and #3 confronted the customer. The customer gave some resistance before being pistol whipped by Suspect #2. The customer suffered a head injury. All three suspects were last seen exiting the store and heading south from the location. No vehicle was seen leaving the area.
Video surveillance captured the entire Robbery. The suspect description was obtained from the video surveillance:
SUSPECT #1 – Hispanic Male (possibly South American) 5’10”-6’01”,190-220lbs, 28-30yrs, medium build, medium complexion, dark colored hair, wearing a maroon colored button up shirt (long sleeve), dark colored baseball style cap, blue jeans, ARMED w/Dark Colored HANDGUN.
SUSPECT #2 – Hispanic male (possibly South American) 5’05”-5’07”, 145-165lbs, 22-27yrs, small build, medium complexion, dark colored hair, dark colored baseball style cap, orange colored polo, blue jeans, ARMED w/Silver & Black Colored HANDGUN.
SUSPECT #3 – Hispanic male (possibly South American) 5’07”-5’09”, 160-180lbs, 22-27yrs, medium build, medium complexion, dark colored hair, wearing a tan and brown colored checked shirt, with tan and brown colored baseball style cap, blue jeans, CONSIDERED ARMED, but not seen on video.

Orange: BB&T Bank Robbery |

Suspect entered the BB&T Bank at the intersection of the South Orange Blossom Trail and Town Center Blvd. at approximately 9:30 AM. He was armed with a black semi automatic handgun and immediately demanded money and threatened to kill several of the bank employees. He was very aggressive in a “take over” type robbery. Suspect robbed at least three tellers of an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the bank in an unknown direction of travel. He is described as being a light skinned black male, 35 to 45 years old, beige jacket, beige hat, blue jeans, 5’ 9” to 6’ tall. The suspect wore a somewhat unique type of blue canvas slip on deck or tennis shoe with a thick white sole. Witnesses said the shoes stood out as being a bit different.

The male pictured at left is believed to be responsible for breaking into a vehicle to steal the victim’s purse. A short time after the burglary, the below pictured suspect used the victim’s stolen credit card at a Wal-Mart in Altamonte Springs (S.R. 434) to purchase a gift card in the amount of $400.00.

Orange: Man Shot Confronting Burglars |

A man was shot and killed inside his home on Okaloosa Avenue at approximately 2:30 AM after returning from a fast food run and confronting two black males who investigators believe broke into the residence while he was away. Omar Roman, 04.05.77, had stepped out with his girlfriend for an early morning snack only to return to find the two men ransacking his home when he returned. The victim was shot and mortally wounded after confronting the two men who were said to be wearing bandannas over their faces at the time of the shooting. |

The Orange County Sheriff's Office Robbery Unit is requesting your assistance with a commercial robbery to the CVS, located at 5300 S. John Young Parkway. The incident occurred on Saturday, 03/08/08 at approximately 12:51 P.M.
The suspect entered the store, walked up to the counter, and asked the clerk for a carton of cigarettes. When the clerk handed him the cigarettes the suspect handed him a note demanding money. Since the clerk did not open the register fast enough the suspect became agitated and threatened to kill the clerk, implying he had a gun. The clerk complied and the suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. It is believed the suspect left the scene in a dark colored crossover type vehicle possibly a Lexus RX300. The vehicle was driven by another unknown person. The suspect was described as a White or Hispanic male in his 30’s, 5’10”-6’00” tall, medium build.

On March 6, 2008 at approximately 7:55pm, two black males entered the Family Dollar Store located at 5997 Edgewater Drive with the purpose to commit an armed robbery. Subjects were armed with a rifle and a semi automatic handgun. The subjects fled in a gray Grand Am, which was later located. On 03/06/08, two suspects entered the Cash Advance store located at 676 S. Goldenrod Road. Suspect 1 was armed with a semi-automatic handgun and forced the clerk to open the register. Suspect 2 took money from the register and fled on foot toward Goldenrod Road.

On March 5, 2008 at approximately 1:25pm the Bank of America was robbed by the female subject seen at left. The suspect was described as a 20-30 y/o black female, 5’5- 5’6 and medium build dressed in dark clothing and wearing a Louis Vuitton-brand scarf over her head and face. A witness reported seeing the suspect leave the scene in a dirty green Toyota Camry with front-end damage. The suspect told a bank employee that she had been exposed to “gas,” and had in her possession a small plastic bottle. |

Orange: Pizza Hut Robbery |

On March 1, 2008 just before midnight the Pizza Hut located at 4343 Edgewater Drive was robbed by three black males all armed with handguns. The males entered the store and forced two of the three employees to the ground. The males then forced the third employee to open the cash register. Before departing the store, one of the suspects fired a round which struck two of the employees, one of which was seriously injured. The males departed the scene by unknown means.

Palm Bay : Bank Theft Victim Dies |

The victim of a theft that occurred at the Bank of America on February 27th has died unexpectedly. John Schopke, 41, was in the Tampa area on Wednesday when he was pronounced dead.
On February 28th, Schopke contacted the Palm Bay Police Department to report a theft of $4800. The theft occurred on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Bank of America located at the corner of Babcock Street and Palm Bay Road. Just before 2:00 p.m. that day Schopke withdrew $4800 cash from his business account. He started to leave when he returned to the counter where it appears he was preparing another transaction. He walked away from the counter, leaving the cash envelope behind. Within forty-five seconds, a female spotted the unattended envelope and quickly placed it in her purse as she made her way to the teller, getting in line just behind the victim who still unknowingly lost his cash. The woman is seen on video looking through her purse then turning around and leaving the bank. “This criminal act by this still unidentified woman is now magnified by the victim’s untimely death,” said Chief Bill Berger. “Someone out there knows who this woman is. We’re appealing to anyone that knows her or recognizes her to come forward so the money can be returned to this man’s family.”
Detectives are now hoping someone can identify the woman in the video or that she will return the money on her own. |

Brevard: Female Fraud Suspects |

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying two female suspects who are responsible for fraudulently obtaining goods and services with a stolen credit card in excess of $3,000 on Merritt Island. On February 3rd, 2008, a Winter Garden resident visiting Cocoa Beach had lost her credit card in the area of Ron Jon Surf Shop. The victim was unaware of her missing credit card, until she returned home later in the day. The victim was later informed by her financial institution that her credit card had been used at several businesses on Merritt Island during the afternoon hours on February 3rd. The victim’s credit card was used to purchase a variety of items at several businesses with a total purchase amount of over $3,000. Sheriff’s Agents have obtained video surveillance from various businesses on Merritt Island, which depict the two female suspects. The females appeared to be accompanied by an infant and young child while make these purchases. Additionally, the females appeared to have utilized two separate vehicles as modes of travel, one is a white mini-van and the other is a two-tone SUV, unknown makes or models. |

The victim was sitting in the driver seat of her vehicle in the parking lot of 520 S Orange Blossom Trail (Citgo), near one of the gas pumps. An unknown black male approached the victim and sprayed her in the face with what she believed to be pepper spray, and grabbed her purse which was next to her in the vehicle. The suspect fled on foot from the scene westbound on Colyer Street. The victim’s purse was a brown Luis Vuitton purse valued at approximately $1700 and it contained $6000. The victim identified the person in this photo from video surveillance inside the Citgo as the person who committed the robbery.

Incident occurred inside the Panera Bread at the Loop. Suspect grabbed the victim’s purse from the back of her chair and attempted to flee. The victim chased the suspect to the door where a struggle ensued and she regained possession of her purse. The suspect fled to an older white four door sedan that was waiting out front and left the scene in an unknown direction of travel. Suspect Description: Hispanic male, early 20’s 6’ wearing yellow t-shirt and jeans. Driver of the vehicle is described as a Hispanic female with a black pony tail wearing a gray sweater. The female appeared to be a juvenile. |

Mount Dora : Bank of America Robbery |

On February 20, 2008 at approximately 3:15pm, officers responded to the Bank of America on CR44B in reference to a reported Robbery. Video obtained from a nearby Lowes, captured the suspect’s vehicle parked in the Lowes parking lot and the suspect walk towards the bank. Once inside the bank the suspect waited in line and as he approached the teller he brandished a note demanding money. He pulled out a black bag with green writing on it and put his hand inside his denim jacket as to imply he had a gun. Once the money was obtained, the Lowes camera captured the suspect exiting the bank. He fled in an unknown direction in the same vehicle.The vehicle is described as a 90’s model Ranger pickup
Suspect description: W/M, approx. 5’09”- 6’00”, 45 – 55 years old, balding on top with a pony tail, fu-man-chu mustache, denim jacket, gray colored t-shirt, jeans and a camouflaged hat that appeared to have “Racing” on the front and also had on a wedding ring.

Orange: Juvenile Rape |

On 02/12/08 an unknown white male suspect sexually assaulted the 14 year-old male victim while the victim was on his way to school. The actual physical attack took place in a wooded area off of Chickasaw Trail near Liberty Middle School. The suspect talked the victim into going into the woods wherein he sexually assaulted the victim. After the suspect completed his attack, the victim was able to run to his school and report the incident. Closed circuit cameras captured the suspect following the victim near Pershing Ave and Goldenrod at approximately 0752 hours. The suspect was wearing a black t-shirt over a white t-shirt, blue jean shorts and black sneakers. He wears his dark hair short and, according to the victim, has a newly grown goatee. He believes the suspect to be of Hispanic decent but could not be sure. The suspect is described as a white male between 16-20 years of age, 5'8" tall with a medium build, with short black hair, a mustache and goatee.

On 12/15/2007 at approximately 1700 hours, three dark skinned Hispanic Males entered the Friendly Pawn shop at 8519 E Colonial Drive and held the employees and customers at gunpoint. The suspects took property from the customers and jewelry after smashing the display cases inside the store.

Longwood: Discount Cigarettes Store Robbery |

Longwood Police are seeking information on three subjects who entered the Discount Cigarettes Store, located at 525 S. Ronald Reagan Blvd. and robbed the two clerks of an undisclosed amount of money. Video surveillance captured the crime and the suspects as they physically restrained one of the clerks during the robbery. The suspects fled the store with money, cigarettes, and personal effects of the two clerks. The suspects were seen leaving in a black 1997 to 2002 body style Ford Expedition. The vehicle was occupied by a fourth suspect who is presumed to be the get away driver.
The suspects are described as white or Hispanic males in their early 20’s. Suspect #1 is further described as having a muscular build, well trimmed goatee, wearing a black leather hat, blue sweatshirt with “RUSTY” written on it, and blue jeans. Suspect #2 is further described as having a thin build, slightly darker complexion than the other two, dark hair, and was wearing a blue or black ball cap with the letter A on the front, a dark shirt with a white design on it, baggy blue jeans, and white sneakers. Suspect #3 is further described as having a thin build, wearing a blue ski mask, dark blue long sleeved shirt, and blue jeans.

On 1/31/2008 at approximately 11:45pm, one Hispanic male and a black male approached 2 victims sitting in their car. The Hispanic male displayed a firearm and demanded their money and wallet which contained his credit card. The credit card was used at the Race Trac (5405 S. Semoran Blvd) and then subsequently at the Walmart (3838 S. Semoran Blvd) and McDonald's (4066 S. Semoran Blvd). Suspects were driving a white Honda (Accord or Civic) mid 90’s model, boxy style. Today at approximately 3:51 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff's deputies responded to 7-Eleven, 7893 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with two store employees who indicated an unknown male entered the store, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The employees gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the store in an 2007, gold, Toyota Camry, license plate #G845PF. The vehicle was recently reported stolen
during a carjacking in the City of Kissimmee. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with short black hair, a mustache and thin build. He was wearing a green Army jacket,
white t-shirt and blue jeans. |

Winter Park : Florida Capital Robbery |

On Thursday January 24, 2008, members of the Winter Park Police Department responded to the Florida Capital Bank located at 220 W Fairbanks in reference to an attempted bank robbery. At approximately 9:20a.m., a lone white male wearing a hooded blue sweat shirt and blue jeans entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect was unsucessful and left the bank heading west and then south into the surrounding neighborhood. |

Palm Bay : Cell Phone Burglary |
Date: January 22, 2008 |
Four suspects are currently being sought in connection with a burglary at a cell phone distributor where the crime was captured on security video. At approximately 7:11 a.m. Tuesday, patrol officers responded to the ATT Cell Phone Distributors located at 195 Malabar Road following an activated burglary alarm. Upon arrival, officers found the rear door of the business had been forced open leaving significant damage. Inside the store, an inventory cabinet containing cell phones was broken into and the contents taken. The suspects appeared on video using axes and power tools to gain access to the locked cabinet. All four suspects were covered from head to toe and were in and out of the store in less than four minutes. Officers and detectives are currently working with the owners of the business to determine the exact property loss and estimated value which could be over $20,000.

On 01-05-08 at approximately 3:58pm an unknown male robbed the 7-Eleven located at 5284 South Orange Blossom Trail. The male entered the business and jumped on top of the counter when the store’s clerk opened the cash register to complete his transaction. Suspect had a short struggle with the clerk when the money was being taken. The suspect then fled on foot toward America Boulevard. The suspect was a black male, 20-30 YOA, 5’11”-6’00”, medium built, black hair, no facial hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, with a Miller Lite print on its back, and black color pants

Orange : Gentleman's Choice Barber Robbery

On 12-31-07 at about 10:30pm an unknown male robbed the Gentlemans Choice Barber located at 5761 South Orange Blossom Trail. The male entered the business through the front and pointed a small silver handgun at the victims. Suspect then pushed both victims to a backroom and then took some of their property to iclude the car keys of a 1999 Jaguar. The vehicle was recovered minutes later near the intersection of Oakridge Road and S OBT
The suspect was a black male, in hi twenties, 5’08”, 165 lbs. black hair afro style, no facial hair. He was wearing a blue short and unknown color pants. |

On 01/07/08, at approximately 10:25 am a W/M in his mid to late 20's entered the Wal Greens. He went directly to the Pharmacy where he passed a note demanding percription drugs. The suspect had his hand under his shirt and implied a gun. Once he obtained the drugs the suspect fled the business in an unknown direction or method of travel.
on 01/08/08, at 12:30am we believe this same suspect then entered the the CVS located at Orange Ave and Michigan St. with the intent to commit a robbery. The Pharmacy was closed even though the store is open 24 hours. The suspect exited the store without incident. At 12:55 am the suspect is seen entering the Walgreens located at 408 E. Michigan St. The suspect presented the pharmicist with a note again demanding specific persciption drugs. The suspect implied that he had a weapon. We ask that if anyone can identify this suspect please contact CRIMELINE. We feel that the suspect could be armed and dangerous. |
